Job Description

This hourly, unionized position will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair work on all site mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will have a proven safety record and history of being a team player and be able to make decisions and work without direct supervision. Ability to work shifts and overtime as required during the production season.

Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, install and apply preventative maintenance systems on a wide variety of equipment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
Hoisting and rigging
Perform scheduled preventative and breakdown maintenance work
Consult manufacturer's manuals to determine maintenance procedures

Skills and Qualifications:
Must possess Alberta-journeyperson welder certification/ Red Seal or equivalent
Experience with arc welding (SMAW), wire feed welding (GMAW)
Fabrication experience would be an asset
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in heavy industrial/ manufacturing environment
Experience with process equipment would be and asset (i.e. jaw crusher, cone crushers, screens, etc.)
Must have proven safety record and history of being a team player
Strong written and oral communication skills
